A due anni di distanza da “Alza la voce” (che mantiene ancora il record come recensione più cliccata sulle pagine di Punkadeka.it!!!) ritornano sulla scena i DDR, punk rock band toscana, che proprio sulle pagine di questa webzine erano diventati un vero e proprio caso mediatico.

“Diritto di rivolta”, questo il nome del loro secondo full length, è un album che dimostra che quanto di buono fatto vedere da questi ragazzi nel primo disco non è stato solo un episodio isolato. In questi due anni i ragazzi, si vede da queste 12 tracce, sono cresciuti da un punto di vista compositivo, sia musicale che testuale. Come ogni primo disco “Alza la voce” era ancora un po’ acerbo, le influenze dei sacri avi del Punk Rock erano decisamente forti e a volte i ragazzi ne rimanevano schiacciati (anche se sembra che come i Me First & The Gimme Gimmes un tributo ai Bad Religion lo devono sempre pagare come in “Mondo Fragile”, pure Bad Religion style!) .

In “Diritto di rivolta” trovano decisamente la loro via e riescono a fare quel salto in personalità che sinceramente mi auguravo ed aspettavo. La voce forse un po’ piatta e poco convinta di Selina in alcuni pezzi del precedente disco lasciano il posto ad una cantante ormai conscia delle proprie capacità che riesce a graffiare e ad essere aggressiva nei pezzi più tirati e coinvolgente e “calda” nei pezzi più melodici. Peccherei di eccessiva “galanteria” se non sottolineassi che le sue sinuose qualità vocali sono più che validamente sorrette da una band solida ed energica capace di fondersi in un unicum esplosivo.

Registrazione decisamente impeccabile che rende giustizia al talento dei ragazzi che propongono un sound tipicamente punk rock compatto ed energico senza scadere nel classici clichè del genere. I ragazzi non tralasciano nessun dettaglio e questa volta anche l’artwork è all’altezza della qualità espressa dalla loro musica.

Come special guest è presente di Cippa dei Punkreas in “La terra che non c’è”, che forse è la canzone che mi ha convinto meno dell’intero album per un testo un po’ banale e adolescenziale. Un disco curato in ogni dettaglio che dimostra come con la sincerità e il cuore si possa fare strada senza per questo vendere la propria passione alla prima tv o manager di grido.

Ps. se proprio vogliamo trovare un difetto a questo disco, e noi per l’appunto vogliamo, è il pizzetto di Guido (basso) che trovo decisamente demodè e poco Punk :)

Canzoni come “Scooter”, ed hardy uk“Instabile” o “I fan dei Padrini”ed hardy clothing non hanno nulla da invidiare alle più blasonate band del genere italiane. Probabilmente non brillano per originalità Christian Audigier ma per essere il loro primo disco non mi sento affatto di biasimarli poiché nonostante tutto ho trovato ottimi spunti.

Secondo me invece è molto carino, per appartenere a quel genere di "punk rock" a cui abitualmente concedo non più che un sorrisetto di superiorità.
I primi pezzi non ispirano effettivamente molto e quando senti la voce abominevole del tizio dei Punkreas vorresti buttare via tutto, ma poi segui l''evoluzione del disco, lo riascolti, e tempo due giorni ti ritrovi a fischiettare le sue melodie poppy coinvolgentissime mentre giochi a PES.
La voce della tizia è decisamente

bella (in ambito

POP, chiariamo) e rompe il culo a tutte le cagnette che si sentono abbaiare nelle suonerie dei cellulari.
A tratti pensi di stare ascoltando gli Tsunami Bomb (In questo momento, ma non solo lì), e non è un difetto, anzi.
Pezzo più "fischiettabile" sicuramente Per chi non ha. Apprezzabile anche l''idea di coverizzare a propria maniera gli Smiths nella ghost track.
