Torino è ormai la capitale italiana del punk, hardcore e Oi!... ce lo confermano, se ancora ce ne fosse bisogno, i Bull Brigade.
Il gruppo non ha bisogno di molte presentazioni per i più attenti frequentatori della scena, ma per chi non lo sapesse, sono una formazione di Oi! stradaiolo che nasce dalle esperienze di due band che hanno animato la scena underground italica in questi ultimi anni: Bad Dog Boogie e Banda Del Rione.

Da 2006 Eugy (voce), Tofee (chitarra), Dany (basso) e Steve suonano in largo e in lungo, aprendo per Sham 69, Anti Nowhere League, TV Smith, The Stab e molti altri ancora. Dopo 2 anni sono entrati in studio insieme a Saverio (ex Woptime e ora Concrete Block) in veste di produttore e hanno registrato una decina di songs. Pezzi che toccano, che rompono le nostre “cristallerie” interiori… si parte con “Dopo la pioggia” con un testo a dir poco poetico e un sound carico e potente…. Saverio partecipa anche come guest vocalist.
Andiamo avanti con “strade smarrite”, altro pezzo azzeccatissimo per sound e testi, e arriviamo a “Costruito a Torino”, attuale manifesto della “motorcity italica” e poi “Birra”, rilettura del pezzo della Banda Del Rione.
La motorheadiana “Keep The Faith” è la “dichiarazione di intenti” dei Bull Brigade e ancora grandi momenti con “Dannato Pub” e “Vendetta” per poi arrivare a “Sulla Collina”, dedicata al Grande Torino, per poi concludere al meglio con “A Way of Life”.
Si potrebbero spendere ancora molte parole e decantare quanto sia raro trovare una band che sappia ancora affrontare tematiche non scontante e trattarle con intelligenza e col cuore… creare un sound originale, fatto di diverse influenze (dall’Oi! allo street punk, al rock) che confluiscono creando omogeneità, e anche sostenerlo con una produzione eccellente. Al disco hanno partecipato anche membri di S-Contro, Banda Del Rione e Gavroche.

In ultimo una nota di merito anche alla grafica di garageland Graphic studio, che invita e predispone all’ascolto.
