The project was born primarily from a love for music and the desire to create a
situation in which punk rock is not just a style, but what comes naturally.
The band was formed from an idea of Mauro to blend his musical influences of
his youth (punk rock, hardcore, rock) and to share some of his experiences and
beliefs. In October 2006 NRD started playing out, in February 2007 the band
recorded a s/t Ep of four songs which was received well by webzines and
reviewers. After one year of live shows and more songwriting, NRD recorded
their first album called “Start” (Power 90 Records). In 2008 the band won “Best
Punk Demo” at M.E.I. (Indipendent Label Meeting) powered by Punkadeka.it
and in 2009 played some shows during his first euro tour.
In October/November 2014 NRD recorded their second EP called “The Truth,
The Lie and The Compromise, came out in 2015 for Indelirium Records.
New Real Disaster shared the stage with huge bands like H2O (USA), The
Adolescents (USA), The Briggs (USA), The Real McKenzies (Canada), Masked
Intruder (USA), The Manges (ITA), Authority Zero (USA), Isotopes (Canada),
Total Chaos (USA), G.B.H. (UK), The Mahones (USA), The Vibrators (UK),
M.O.T.O. (USA), Cobra Skulls (USA), Strawberry Blondes (UK), Punkreas (ITA)
and more. In 2010 and 2015 NRD had the pleasure to play at the most
important italian Joe Strummer tribute at Estragon Club and Sottotetto Club in
Bologna (Italy), sharing the stage with Pablo Cooks (Joe Strummer & The
Mescaleros’ percussionist), Banda Bassotti, Atarassia Grop, Temporal Sluts and
more. In June 2012 NRD played at Filottrano City Rockers Festival in Filottrano
(Italy) and in October 2012 and November 2014 they played at Revolution Rock
Festival in Milan with H2O, Mahones and more. On September 2020 NRD
released the new album called ” “, out for Andrea Manges’ Striped Records.

Il progetto New Real Disaster nasce nel 2006 principalmente dall’amore per la
musica e dal desiderio di creare una situazione in cui il punk rock non è solo
uno stile, ma ciò che viene naturale.
La band nasce dall’idea di Mauro di fondere le influenze musicali della sua
giovinezza (punk rock, hardcore, rock). Nell’ottobre 2006 i NRD iniziano a
suonare in giro per l’Italia, nel febbraio 2007 registrano un Ep di quattro
canzoni ben accolto da webzines e recensori. Dopo un anno di concerti dal
vivo e creazione di altri brani, i NRD registrano il loro primo album “Start”
(Power 90 Records/Punkadeka). Nel 2008 la band vince il premio “Best Punk
Demo” al M.E.I. (Meeting delle Etichette Indipendenti), patrocinato da
Punkadeka.it, e nel 2009 parte per il suo primo tour europeo
Nell’ottobre/novembre 2014 i NRD registrano il loro secondo EP intitolato “The

I New Real Disaster hanno condiviso il palco con grandi band come H2O (USA),

(Canada), Total Chaos (USA), G.B.H. (Regno Unito), The Mahones (USA), The
Vobrators (Regno Unito), M.O.T.O. (USA), Cobra Skulls (USA), Strawberry
Blondes (Regno Unito), Punkreas (ITA) e molti altri. Nel 2010 e nel 2015 i NRD
hanno avuto l’onore di suonare al più importante tributo italiano a Joe
Strummer all’Estragon Club e al Sottotetto Club di Bologna condividendo il
palco con Pablo Cooks (il percussionista di Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros),
Banda Bassotti, Atarassia Grop, Temporal Sluts e tanti altri. Nel giugno 2012 i
